Price — Uber appears cheaper sometimes
In low-demand hours, Uber to Gdańsk city centre can quote 70–90 PLN — cheaper than our 100 PLN fixed taxi. But during airport peaks (morning flights, weekend afternoons) or holidays, surge pricing pushes Uber to 150–220 PLN. With a pre-booked taxi you get the 100 PLN rate regardless of demand.
Pickup zone matters
Uber drivers cannot enter the Gdańsk Airport arrivals hall — passengers must walk to the outdoor pickup zone (signed "Uber / Bolt"). This is a 3–4 minute walk, often in rain or cold. Pre-booked taxi drivers wait INSIDE the arrivals hall with a personalised name sign.
