Here is how it works in practice:
A small pet in a carrier adds a flat 50 PLN. A cat or a small dog in a closed carrier travels in any of our cars for a 50 PLN surcharge on top of the fixed fare — to the city centre that means 130 PLN + 50 PLN on the day rate, and the same 50 PLN applies to Sopot (from 150 PLN) and Gdynia (from 200 PLN). Payment stays as always after the ride, 24/7. Select the pet option when booking online, or mention the animal in the booking notes.
Large dogs travel in the VAN. A dog that does not fit in a carrier on your lap or on the floor gets our 8-seater VAN — the same van you will find on our airport minibus page — and the driver brings a blanket to protect the boot. The transfer is billed at the VAN rate for the route (airport to the city centre is 200 PLN by VAN, for example), plus 70 PLN for the dog.
Assistance dogs ride free in every car, always. A guide dog or other recognised assistance dog travels with its owner at no charge and needs no advance notice — that is a matter of principle, not policy.

Practical tips for the ride from the airport
A few small things make the transfer easier on the animal after a flight. Keep the carrier closed and place it on the floor behind the front seat, or secure it with the seat belt — a loose carrier on a lap is the least safe spot in the car. If your dog travelled in the hold, give it a short walk and a moment to drink water on the grass outside the terminal before you get in; the green strip outside arrivals is enough for a quick leg stretch. The ride itself is short, so most pets simply sleep through it:

The taxi is the easy part; the flight is where rules vary enormously between carriers. The low-cost airlines that dominate GDN — Ryanair and Wizz Air — do not accept pets at all; they carry only recognised assistance dogs. Network carriers such as LOT, SAS or Lufthansa typically allow a cat or small dog in the cabin up to roughly 8 kg including the carrier, with larger dogs travelling in the hold in an approved crate — but weight limits, fees and crate requirements differ per airline, so always confirm directly with your carrier before booking the flight. For travel across EU borders your pet also needs an EU pet passport and a microchip, plus a valid rabies vaccination — your vet can sort all three well before departure.
