Taxi to Gdańsk Airport: Fixed Prices & Pickup Guide

Most airport-transfer advice is written for the day you land. But the ride that can actually ruin a trip is the one in the other direction — to the airport, with a check-in deadline and a plane that will not wait. This guide covers taxi prices from Gdańsk, Sopot, Gdynia and the wider region to Gdańsk Airport (GDN), how the pickup works, and why the early-morning departure is exactly the ride you should not leave to chance.
Fixed prices to the airport — same as from it
Our fares work in both directions: the price from your address to the terminal is the same fixed amount as from the terminal to you, agreed before the car moves. The night rate applies 22:00–06:00 and on Sundays and public holidays — with one pleasant exception: the Old Town and city-centre rate is 130 PLN flat, day and night, weekday and Sunday.
| Pickup area | Day | Night |
|---|---|---|
| Gdańsk Old Town / centre | 130 PLN | 130 PLN (same, 24/7) |
| Gdańsk — other districts (Wrzeszcz, Oliwa, Przymorze…) | 100 PLN | 120 PLN |
| Sopot | 150 PLN | 170 PLN |
| Gdynia | 200 PLN | 250 PLN |
| Rumia | 200 PLN | 250 PLN |
| Reda | 220 PLN | 270 PLN |
| Wejherowo | 300 PLN | 360 PLN |
Coming from further out — Kartuzy, Tczew, Malbork, a beach town on the Hel Peninsula? We cover the whole region at fixed rates; see the full price list or the dedicated pages, e.g. Malbork to Gdańsk Airport and Hel to Gdańsk Airport. Groups of 5–8 travel in a VAN at its own fixed rates.
How the pickup works
You book with three pieces of information: pickup address, flight time, and how to reach you. From there it is our job. We suggest a departure hour that fits the day — rush-hour Gdańsk at 8:00 is a different city than at 14:00 — and the driver arrives about 5 minutes early, waits at the entrance you named, and helps with the luggage. You will have the car model and plate number in advance, so there is no guessing which vehicle at the kerb is yours. If you want to double-check the timing yourself, our guide on how early to be at Gdańsk Airport does the arithmetic for each Tri-City departure point.
The 4 a.m. problem
Gdańsk's first departure wave leaves roughly between 5:30 and 7:00, which means pickups between 3:00 and 4:30 — before the first SKM train is any help and at an hour when street-hailing is a lottery. This is the ride people book us for most, and the one where reliability is the whole product. A pre-booked car with a confirmed pickup time simply stands in front of your address at 3:40: no app roulette, no surge pricing, no "driver cancelled" three minutes after you wake up. We operate 24/7, every day of the year, and early-morning airport runs are our bread and butter — note only that the night rate applies before 06:00 (the Old Town flat 130 PLN being the exception).
Pay online in advance — or after the ride
Both work. In the car you can pay by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Revolut or cash in złoty. If you would rather have the trip settled before travel day — because accounting wants a receipt, or you simply like a closed checklist — we send a secure online payment link and the ride is prepaid. Business travellers can get a VAT invoice, and every booking includes free cancellation, so a rescheduled flight costs you a message, not money.
Why pre-book instead of calling a cab on the day
On an ordinary afternoon, plenty of options get you to GDN. The value of pre-booking shows at the edges: the 3:40 pickup, the Sunday of a long weekend, the November sleet, the morning three conferences end at once. A reserved car removes the single biggest variable — whether transport shows up at all — and the fixed fare removes the second one, the price. What is left is the only thing you actually need to do: be downstairs on time.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a taxi from Gdańsk Old Town to the airport?
130 PLN, flat — the same price by day, at night, on Sundays and holidays. It covers the whole car, up to 4 passengers with luggage, roughly 20–25 minutes to the terminal.
When should I book my ride to the airport?
A day ahead is comfortable in most of the year; for early-morning departures, summer weekends and holidays, book as soon as you know your flight. Same-day requests often work too — write on WhatsApp (+48 694 347 548) and we will confirm honestly whether a car is free.
Can I pay for the transfer online before the trip?
Yes. On request we send an online payment link, so the ride is prepaid and nothing needs to happen in the car. Otherwise simply pay the driver afterwards — card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Revolut or cash.
Do you also pick up outside the Tri-City?
Yes — Rumia, Reda, Wejherowo, Kartuzy, Tczew, Malbork, Elbląg, the seaside towns and beyond, all at fixed rates known before the ride. Send your address and flight time, and you will get the exact price in one message.
