The awkward part is the last 50–105 kilometres, because Poland's seaside towns were built for summer trains and slow coastal roads, not for travellers landing with suitcases. What the price means per person
A fixed fare is for the car, not per seat, so the arithmetic changes completely with company. Four people going to Hel pay 155 PLN each — door of the terminal to door of the guesthouse, luggage in the boot, no transfers with beach bags. Łeba works out at 145 PLN per person, Władysławowo at 112.50 PLN, Jastarnia at 130 PLN. For two people, halve the maths and weigh it against the train times below.
The honest train comparison
We sell taxi transfers, but the rail option deserves a fair description. In summer, trains do run towards the coast — and they are cheap, usually a few dozen złoty per person. The catch is the route. From the airport there is no direct line to any beach town: you first ride into Gdańsk or Gdynia, then change to a coastal train. Hel takes around 2.5–3 hours door to door if the connection lines up; Łeba usually means a change in Lębork and closer to 3 hours; Władysławowo and Jastarnia sit somewhere in between. July and August services get genuinely crowded, and with small children, bikes or a week's worth of luggage the change of trains is where the fun ends. If you are one person with a backpack and no deadline, take the train and spend the difference on fried fish. If you are two or more, on a schedule, or landing after a long day — the fixed fare buys you about two hours and all of the hassle.
Summer traffic on the peninsula — what we do about it
One thing no transfer company can promise away: on peak July and August weekends, the single road onto the Hel Peninsula can crawl. Our drivers do this route all season — they know when the coastal road beats the expressway, when to cut inland towards Łeba, and when leaving 30 minutes earlier saves an hour. Two things stay constant either way: the price you agreed (a fixed fare does not tick upwards in a jam) and the pickup itself — we track your flight and the driver waits at arrivals with a name sign, even if you land late.
Getting back to the airport for your flight home
The return leg matters more, because now there is a departure time to hit. We drive the opposite direction at the same fixed prices — pickup at your hotel in Hel, Jastarnia or Łeba, straight to the terminal.
