Gdańsk Airport Taxi to Malbork, Elbląg, Olsztyn: Prices

Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport is the gateway not just to the Tri-City but to half of northern Poland: Pomerania, the castle country around Malbork, the lakes of Warmia and Masuria. And the further your final address is from the terminal, the thinner the transport options get — regional trains with changes, buses that stop running early, rental desks that close at midnight. This guide lists our fixed taxi fares from Gdańsk Airport (GDN) to the cities of the region, explains how a fixed price relates to the official taximeter, and covers the return direction for your flight home.

Fixed prices from Gdańsk Airport — the regional table

Each fare is a fixed price for the whole car (up to 4 passengers with luggage), confirmed before the ride. Night rate: 22:00–06:00 plus Sundays and public holidays. For 5–8 passengers a VAN serves the same routes — for example Malbork at 700 PLN by day.

Heading to the coast instead? Puck, Władysławowo, Jastarnia, Hel and Łeba have their own summer-focused guide: taxi prices to the Baltic beach towns. Every rate is also on the pricing page.

Fixed price vs the taximeter — the honest economics

Poland's official meter rates outside the urban zone are 7.80 PLN per kilometre by day and 11.70 PLN at night. Multiply that by 90 km to Elbląg or 175 km to Olsztyn and you see why a metered long-distance ride is a financial mystery novel — the ending depends on route, roadworks and the driver's mood. A fixed fare inverts the deal: you know the exact number before the car moves, and the risk of traffic and detours is ours, not yours. That is the entire product. If a quote you get anywhere (including from us) cannot be stated as one final number before departure, keep looking.

Door-to-door beats the connection game

Trains from the airport reach Gdańsk and Gdynia well — the region is another story. Getting to Olsztyn or Ostróda by rail means the airport train into town first, then an intercity connection, typically 3 hours or more with luggage hauls between platforms; Starogard or Kartuzy often mean a bus timetable that thins out after the evening commute. A taxi from the terminal is slower to brag about and faster to arrive: Malbork in about an hour, Elbląg in about 1 h 10, Olsztyn in roughly 2 h 15, driver meeting you at arrivals with a name sign, luggage straight into the boot. When several flights land late, that difference is a hotel night saved.

The return trip — pickup anywhere in the region

We drive both directions at the same fixed prices. Pickup in Malbork, Elbląg, Starogard or a village between them, straight to GDN departures — book a day ahead, give us the flight time, and we suggest a pickup hour with a proper margin (see the dedicated pages, e.g. Malbork → Gdańsk Airport and Elbląg → Gdańsk Airport). Early departures are routine for us: the car is at your address at 4:00 whether or not anything else in the region is running. Address not on the table above? Send it via WhatsApp (+48 694 347 548) or the booking form — every address gets one fixed number before the ride, never an estimate.

Booking and payment

You pay after the ride — card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Revolut or cash — or in advance through a secure online payment link if you prefer the trip settled before travel day. Companies get a VAT invoice, every booking has free cancellation, and your flight is tracked so a delay never turns into a missed transfer.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a taxi from Gdańsk Airport to Malbork?

480 PLN by day and 570 PLN at night — fixed, for the whole car, about an hour door-to-door. For 5–8 passengers the VAN rate is 700 PLN by day.

Do you really drive as far as Olsztyn or Słupsk?

Yes, daily. Olsztyn is 1000 PLN by day, Słupsk 760 PLN — fixed prices, luggage included, any hour of the day or year. Longer custom routes are quoted the same way: one number, upfront.

Is the price per person or per car?

Per car — up to 4 passengers with luggage ride for one fixed fare, so Elbląg between four people costs 135 PLN each. Groups of 5–8 take the VAN at its own fixed rate.

Can I pay online before the trip?

Yes — we send a secure payment link on request, so the transfer is prepaid. Otherwise pay the driver after the ride by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Revolut or cash.
